Dude. The author literally said that she's Asian.
Dude. Sometimes people get things wrong or say things you don't believe but that doesn't mean you get to be rude.
Actually, Cinder wasn't Asian. Marissa Meyer never says she is. She does live in Asia, but there is no mention of her being Asian.
How were they rude? Don't be so soft.
And yes, Cinder is Asian. Meyer doesn't state it in the books, but if you look on her blog, you'll see that she describes Cinder as half Asian, half white. Here's the link: https://www.marissameyer.com/blog/a-guide-to-lunar-chronicles-character-traits/
First; there's nothing wrong with being soft. Afterall, would you want a hard cupcake?
Second; the person who asked this question didn't know if Cinder was Asian or not because, shockingly, sometimes how a character looks or what their ethnicity is isn't totally clear in books. I mean no hate onto anyone who has participated in this discussion, but the way this person said what they thought is, in fact, rude. Someone was confused and instead of helping out kindly with the discussion they decided to word their comment in a way that probably wasn't very fun for someone who just wanted an answer to their question to read.
Third; I don't think you would like it very much if you expected another insightful answer on a simple question you asked and got that as an answer.
Hope you have a good dayy *muah*
People have already given proof that Cinder was Asian earlier on this post. Ignoring what others say, is that not also rude?
"Afterall, would you want a hard cupcake?" Are you a cupcake?
Bro, the person who made the post in the first place didn't know. I don't know why you aren't understanding what I say (maybe its the way I'm explaining it) but come on.
Imagine yourself reading a book. After getting halfway through the book, you realize that you don't really know what this one character (perhaps even your favorite character) really looks like. So you decide to go to a website that is dedicated to the book, hoping that maybe you'll get some answers and even make a friend along the way. You post your question and wait for the answers. When you come back to the question, you see that a couple of people have answered your question in a manner (manner means way) that doesn't make you feel very good about yourself. Afterall, you were just trying to ask a question!
Now, I have no idea if that is what that person is feeling, but I know that I had friends (yes, friends, not random people, but friends) who made me feel this way almost my entire life. I also know that I will never just stand by and watch from a distance if I have even the slightest thought that something would hurt another person. And I never ignored anyone.
Yes, I am a cupcake. Its a shame you're just a head of broccoli.
ohh noooo, i'm a head of broccoli, i'm sooo offended... what were you trying to accomplish with that anyway?
and looks like you completely ignored the first half of my comment. read it clearly before trying to tell me what to do.
So this is funny because yesterday at school during book club me and someone else were fighting over her race. YES, she is a lunar. YES, she is asian. But, wasn't she vroght from Europe to Asia? It says in the book that she was brought from Europe. Im assuming she is a mixed Asian-European but also Lunar. AND ALSO Merrisa Meyer said that she is Asian. Soooo...
What do you think?
